I have installed IIS 7 and FTP I thought I set it up correctly.  However I have an anonymous user loging in 93.63.243.67 this ip is from an isp Fastweb out of Naples Italy.  Looking at the log they have log in under the following:

I have placed the ip in the FTP ipv4 address and Domain restriction List as Deny.  However they continual to appear.  What should i do now.

FTP used to be an anonymous type protocol, bots are trying log into your system.  I don't like to say they can be ignored, but there isn't much you can do. If you want to restrict FTP to certain addresses, then deny all and only allow certain ip's.

Steve thanks for the reply.  We will do what you have indicated.  We are using the FTP for a few of our client to backup their system using acronis.  Also we have given the idea of just going ahead and setting up a VPN to accomplish this task and get away from FTP anyway.  So this might be a solution to our problem.  Again thanks for you reply

If VPN is an option, I'd recommend that if sensative data is being transferred back and forth, or you need to ensure the files get back and forth.

FTP is a easy option that is supported since FTP has been around for many years.

Again, Thanks Steve for your imput to our problem.  We are going to go the VPN route.
And will be installing the required software in order to accoumplish the task.
