Stop/Start application pool on remote server

I am new powershell and scripting.  I just installed the snapin and can stop and start the app pool on my local server.  Is this also possible to do for a remote server?

    Hello,

You could do it with some hosting control panel like Plesk.

It depends on PowerShell version. For version 1 you could only use external remoting, like terminal server, remote console etc. If you install PowerShell version 2.0 (which is currently in RC and will be released on Windows 7), you could use PowerShell remoting. Our snapin doesn't have any intrinsic remoting capabilities.

    Regards,
