    Problem with WSUS, iisreset fails

Hi, I am having a problem with WSUS.  On top of that when I try to do an iisreset to try and remedy the WSUS issue I get the following error:

    Attempting stop...

    Restart attempt failed.

The data is invalid. (2147942413, 8007000d)

I have been searching the web all morning and I cant find any relevant information for my problem.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks in advance :)

    Hi,

Is there any detailed logs in the Event Viewer?

Also, if there are some special services running on the machine. Please temporary disable the specific service, then try iisreset command again.

I was able to get an iisreset to work after some fiddling but that didn't solve the problem.  These are the only details in the event viewer (see below) but I have also noticed that my default website is stopped also.  When I try to restart it I get the message "This website cannot be started.  Another website may be using the same port.".  Not sure which port I should change (if any) because all my searching for a solution tells me both the Default site and my Sharepoint site should run on 80 which is not possible (or is it?).
