Did you follow a similar set of steps as in this article: http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/28/installing-iis-70-on-windows-vista/
Where did the error occur? Were you able to install IIS Management Console?

Any detailed logs in the Event Viewer, Windows Logs?

    Thanks,

    Hi,

    kateroh:
Any detailed logs in the Event Viewer, Windows Logs?
Could you run "evenvwr.exe", then check both the Setup and System event logs? There should be some failed events can help use address the cause.

Also, you can perform the following steps to reinstall IIS7.0:
    1.Uninstall IIS
    2.Reboot system
3.Uninstall WAS (Windows Process Activation Service)- WAS feature package is the dependent package for the IIS feature package.
    4.Reboot system
    5.Reinstall IIS
