    Unable to set up Sql server 2008

    Hi, I'm not able to set up these 2 options successfully. Any advice? Windows powershell Sql server 2008 Management studio express I quited the setup yesterday and would that lead to such a big failure for the setup? Is it easy to remove one setup (Sql server 2008 express) and reset it up again on the same machine? I did suffer from severe problem when dealing with 2005 express last time (even need to reset up Windows XP).

    Have you tried installing them without using the web platform installer?

    Can you post your summary.txt log file that is located at %programfiles%\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\<latest session>.  Also please post your detail.log file that is in this folder.

    Jeff, how can I install without using the web platform installer? Do I have to avoid using that?

    Peter, within 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log' I do not see a folder that was created few days ago.

    I do think it's very troublesome to resetup/remove the Sql server DB and also others have the same thoughts.
