    FTP file size

I have installed IIS 7 on Windows 2008 standard along with ftp 7 server.  It works great and have no problems with transferring files.  Howerver I would like to incress the size of file to over 2 Gb.  I have and client that sends his back up files using Acrons.  If the file file is over 2 Gb it will disconnect and not receive any file at all.

    Thank you

I didn't know there was a 2GB limit for FTP on server operating systems (used to be for XP Pro).  Is this 32 bit or 64?

Look for Wrox's new book Professional IIS 7 in your local bookstore, or order now at Amazon.com

    Re: FTP file size

thanks for the reply Jeff its a 32 bit.  Well that is what i thought as well the techs at Acrons indicated i need to incress the file size, because the ftp limit was only 2GB,  inorder for there software to transferr their backup to the ftp server. Sometimes their files will be over 2GB.  I have incress the control channel timeout and the data channel timeout.  But not sure why thoes two would matter.  They also indicated if that did not work to set up a VPN network. But if the ftp will not work not sure the VPN would work as well

    again thanks for your reply
