    SQL Server Express 2008 with SP1 failed install with -2068578303

    I downloaded and installed a package consisting of components

    SQL Server System CLR Types
    SQL Server Native Client
    SQL Server 2008 Management Objects
    SQL Server Express 2008 with Service Pack 1
    SQL Server 2008 Management Studio Express
    SQL Server 2008 Express with Tools

    The 4th part "SQL Server Express 2008 with Service Pack 1"  produced the following messages in the logfile:

    DownloadManager Information: 0 : Install exit code for product 'SQL Server Express 2008 with Service Pack 1' is -2068578303
    DownloadManager Error: 0 : Install return code for product 'SQL Server Express 2008 with Service Pack 1' is Failure
    DownloadManager Information: 0 : Product SQL Server Express 2008 with Service Pack 1 done install completed

    What's the cure?

    the best way to be sure is to check the instalation log. However, it looks like a syntax error in the installation command line provided by webPI.
