  Can not able to browse localhost from the web browser (IE) Reply Contact I have installed IIS 6.0 and then .net frame work . After this i had install the sharepoint v3.  Now i created a new web application from central admin as default website ( website name given while creating is Sharepoint- 80). Then I browsed https://localhost from the web browser IE. It worked nicely.  But today when I am trying to browse the same  I can not able to open Localhost. I am getting page can not display error. i can browse the site from inetmgr when i right click on Sharepoint - 80.. but the problem is same i can not browse from web browser. But when the system is connected to the internet i can browse from both inetmgr and from web browser IE   Kindly help me in resolving this issue

I got a solution.. its due to sharepoint behaviour if the standalone system is configured as dedicated crawl... Link for your reference ..
