    OWA fails with Error 500.22

I recently installed SBS 2008 on a new server and created a new domain. Everything in the Remote Web Workplace worked great until I installed FTP 7.5. Then the weirdness began. Now when I browse to the RWW from any location (internal or external), I can log in and use every application except the OWA app, which presents me with Server Error 500.22. I have tried everything I know to get this app to work, yet nothing has succeeded. Ideas?

Can you check in which application pool the OWA application is running? Then force that pool to run under classic pipleline mode and test again.

I have changed the app mode to .net classic and I am prompted with a standard login window now. After entering my credentials I still get server error 500. More specificcally, the error states: "Outlook Web Access did not initialize. An event has been logged so that the system administrator can resolve the issue. Please contact technical support for your organization. Web object 'IIS://SBSRAQ.enplan.local/W3SVC/3/ROOT' cannot be found." I take this to mean that the app should be redirected to the wwwroot folder?

No, the new error message does not mean that.

Did you turn on IIS 6 Management Compatibility sub-features when installing IIS 7? If not, please turn them on and test again.

Interestingly, the IIS 6.0 manager is still there, but when I try and browse my server it is empty. I did remove the IIS 6.0 managment features in order to access the "new" FTP features, so I suppose I will need to reinstall them. Is this going to mean that the OWA I had set up before upgrading IIS somehow requires IIS 6.0 compatibility?

To install FTP 7.5, all you need to uninstall from Server Manager for IIS 7 is FTP Publishing Service sub features. Don't uninstall other parts or such a problem happens.

Please enable what I asked before and test again.

As I am not an Exchange expert, I am not sure if OWA requires IIS 6 Compatibility, but many Microsoft products shipped before IIS 7 need that.

Looks like all the IIS 6.0 compatibility features are installed and active, and the error continues to appear.

Then it is possible that IIS configuration is corrupt. I am not sure how to restore that on SBS, so you may ask the guys in SBS forums,
