Set default website in II7 (virtual directory)

If you enter the hostname in the browser, you will get the default IIS7 picture (http://blogs.dirteam.com/photos/sanderberkouwer/images/2568/425x306.aspx) now I want an automatic link to my virtual directory "hostname/cognos8". For example I enter in the browser the folowing URL "examplename" and then I will linked to "hostname/cognos8". I can't find any option in the IIS7, please help me. Sorry for my bad english.

You can't set a virtual directory as the root of a site (virtual directories are under a site so it can't be the root of a site), it has to be the physical directory the virtual directory points to.  Set that in site settings, click on the default site to highlight it, choose Basic Settings in the Actions pane (right side) and set the physical directory.

Look for Wrox's new book Professional IIS 7 in your local bookstore, or order now at Amazon.com
