    Weird flash issue

    Heyhey

For some odd reason, all usage of getBytesLoaded from flash returns 0 on our new IIS server. I, personally, have no experience with these systems, but one of our IT guys suspects a setup/configuration problem.

We can load flash files fine, they show up, but the filesize return is broken.

Can anyone point in any sort of direction with this? So far we've made sure the swf MIME type is set correctly. One of my associates suggested taking a look at the HTTP header (which doesn't really help me at all, since I have no clue what he's talking about)

Also, moving the entire project/code to another server results in a perfect filesize return. We just need to get is working on the primary server.

Where is this getBytesLoaded function? Never hear of it in the past.

If this is a Flash API, I think you need to post to an Adobe forum or consult Adobe support team.

the getBytesLoaded function resides in the Flash API yes, but it's working perfectly on other servers.

As soon as the files are placed on this particular server, the filesizes are lost when loading external files (which are also located on the server).

As I asid in the first post, the only lead I have is the servers HTTP Header not returning the filesize when requesting it.

I am not sure which other servers you are referring to? Are they running the same OS as this problematic one? If so, you can do a comparison to locate the differences.
