    WPI + VMware Server 2008 = Error - solved

    Hello,
    may someone had the same Error, and can help me with this,

    i've an VMware ESXi Server 3.5, and a Server 2008 Installation, however, i can't start the WPI launcher. there's allways the internetopenurl failure.

    When i've installed the WPI on a Pysical Server, it runs, if i convert this physical Installation 1:1 to the VMware, there's the error again - don't know, what i can do anymore to run it.

    Hi,

    Can your VMWare virtual machine actually reach the internet ? What happens if you open Internet Explorer on your virtual machine and try to browse www.microsoft.com ?

     Hello,
    my VM can reach the Web like the physical machine. There are no restrictions.
    The MS website opens without any Problems.

     

    edit: i don't know why, but now it seems to be working. Hope that it'll still be work after some restarts, too.
