Downloaded FrontPage Extensions for Server 2008

Installed OK, added the necessary roles to the server, but when I try to extend to the Default Web Site, I get the following error:

The server administration programs and the server extensions on the web server are not compatible. The administration program is too old to use with this server.

    Any ideas?

The times that I have seen this error in the past had to do with mismatched versions of FPSE, which should not be the case since there is only one version of FPSE for Windows Server 2008. Did you copy your content from another server, or was it used with a different version of FPSE?

This is most likely caused by installing a previous version of the FrontPage Server Extensions.

The current version of the FrontPage Server Extensions are available for download from: http://www.rtr.com/fpse/

There you will find other helpful links to our Installation information and instructions and our FAQ.
