site not working without mentioning the default page in IE 7 but working fine with mozilla

I hosted a website on a remote server (win 2008 / iis 7 / asp). The default page is configured and it was working fine for around 2 months but now for the last two days we have reported a problem site is not accessible by typing the url.

The fun is if I type the url along with the default page i'm getting the site (in IE 7) In mozilla, it is working without mentioning the default or home page.

I'm clueless, How it is working in mozilla and not working in IE 7 and How it was working fine so far and suddenly what happened to the site?

How and why it is not working with IE 7? How to resolve this problem? Help me to sort out this issue.........

As most of the users are using IE 7, I can't delay....

    Hello,

Check your website default page settings and configure the proper one.

    Regards

    Hi,

Could you reproduce this issue, then post the relevant log file entries here? IIS log file located in the %systemdrive%/inetpub/logs/logfiles/W3SVC+n directory by default, n here is the website’s identifier.

The following article covers some troubleshooting methods, for your reference:
