    how to allow remote users to access website in my iis

     Hi

    I've developed a site and installed in iis 5.1, if i access through localhost its working fine, but inaccessable remotely. it was asking user name, password, but when i configured FTP Sites to allow annoynomus access. now im getting a error which sounds like this

     The remote procedure call failed and did not execute.

    Kindly helpme out

    Are you trying to allow access to the website via a browser or FTP?   If it's HTTP, you need to enable anonymous access

    If it's FTP, the error you posted doesn't appear to be related to FTP sessions.  I'd suggest looking in the FTP logs %windir%\system32\logfiles is where logs are located.

    Thanks for the reply, as u said this error is not related to ftp, its http i've enabled anoynomus access to the site. i have a doubt here can i change the username n password here? if i change will i be in trouble?

    Don't change the username or password.  Simply check the Anbonymous access box and uncheck all the others.
