    IIS 6.0 with out Anti-virus and no firewall

    Hello All,

     Due to performance reasons, can i run IIS 6.0 on a public ip without Anti-virus and firwall.

    I am actively patching the server 2003.

    Any thoughts about it, i really appreciate.

    Get a firewall.

     Are you talking about the Windows 2003 firewall or a hardware one.

    Get something. The windows one is better then nothing and for small non-high profile site should be ok. There ae a few other windows software firewalls out there and a hardware firewall is better than the software ones.
