Can you find any "error" or "fail" in %windir%\iis7.log?

Re: Error with Installing IIS on Windows VISTA

Hi, IIS 6 is only available for Windows XP x64 and Windows Server 2003.

If you are using Windows Vista, then you can only install IIS 7, and the installation log file is %windir%\iis7.log. If you cannot find this log, then installation of IIS 7 was not even started.

%windir% is a macro. If you installed Windows on C drive, then it can be translated to C:\windows then you can find the log file as C:\windows\iis7.log.
