    Smooth Streaming Player Source

    Hi

Is it possible to get the full source code for the newest Smooth Streaming players, used during mix and in the demos (Experience Smooth Streaming) found at http://www.iis.net/media/experiencesmoothstreaming

    Hi Keivan

The only source code we have released is available with Expression Encoder 2 SP1. Did you already take a look at that?

    Hi

Yes I have, but the newer version used by Microsoft, have both nicer visuals and richer functionality. It also has updated logic for Smooth Streaming.

The never version also has the test UI, and it's a great tool for trubleshooting any problems our viers might have.

It also has a better reporting functionality.

So is it possible to find the source code any where?

    Keivan -

I agree - the graphing controls are very cool!  Are you primarily looking for the source for the newer UI (the XAML)?

    Yes and No :-)

It's better then nothing, but what I'm really looking for is to use the new players both nicer UI & better functions, but I need some extra functions enabled and some disabled.

I need the playlist button enabled and the skip nex / previous buttons enabled, and have the graphs hidden on startup. I know that all of this is already in the player, I've used Silverlight Spy to enable/disable some of the UI elements running the new player.

So basically I need a sligtly modifiled player or a sligtly extenden player with some more ini paramteers to control this, but to change these I need the source code.

    Re: Smooth Streaming Player Source

I've found a small bug that would be easy to correct if I have the source code, the Auto Play feature doesn't work with the new player.

    Hi Kevian

We are still working out some issue before we can release the code. What is the bug you are seeing?

    Re: Smooth Streaming Player Source

    Hi Vishal

     The things I've noticed are:
    * The AutoPlay function doesn't work
    * Buffering progress only show a empty box on-top of the Video
    * When using progressive download, there are't any progress bar

    Optional Feature:
    * Ini setting to Auto show "Smooth Streaming Tools"
    * Ini setting to hide "Smooth Streaming Tools" button
    * Next/Prev buttons used when navigation items in a playlist

    Hope this helps..

     /Keivan

    Re: Smooth Streaming Player Source

Hi there, I just wanted to add my vote to this, I'm working on a project where Smooth streaming would be a perfect fit. Having access to the player code with the extra features, would be really helpful. Cheers, Ola
