I've used robocopy also, RichCopy is / was an internal MS only tool. It's mulitple threaded and from the person who told me about it, is a great tool. I don't have a need personally to test it, but thought it was worth passing on since keeping files in
sync is a major thing in the IIS planet. I'd be curious to hear your results.
PS - The web-farms I'm working on now are primarily DB driven, so local content isn't a big deal as it has in the past.
I looked through the RichCopy documents and menu and I could not find an option to schedule RichCopy to run frequently such as hourly or daily (at a specified time). Could some one help?
I imagine for that to work, you need to be copying between servers on a Windows domain and the ACLs use domain accounts. I don't know if local accounts would be understood on the destination server.
Saw you post about scheduling a task (Thanks for that) but when I run the scheduled task the job does not execute. What am I missing and should I be adding an argument to the actions task? (If so what?)

Those looking for a tool to copy content from one server to another, RichCopy looks slick.

Steve,
I am one of the 220,000 people who viewed the Robocopy GUI article - I wouldn't copy a file any other way, but I'm downloading RichCopy right now...
Regards,
MCSE

I have downloaded and used RichCopy, however it DOES NOT copy the owner or file permissions.
There is in fact now way to do so with the version that is online.
Unless someone knows a way to use some command line or hidden options?
I am sure the original version used internally within MS must have done this.
Ben.

Quick Question for youSaw you post about scheduling a task (Thanks for that) but when I run the scheduled task the job does not execute. What am I missing and should I be adding an argument to the actions task? (If so what?)
Thanks in advance!
