I have a laptop running vista, II7, visual studio 2005/2008...for messing about with creating web sites and web applications.
I d/l a free cms called umbraco, and tried to run it in iis7...but no images would show on the pages. Thinking it might be that I didnt know how to install umbraco, I tried d/l dotnetnuke. I get the same problem!!! So this must be a problem with my IIS& setup.
Basically, I installed IIS7 allowing asp.net etc. I then created a web app under the default website. Allowed full access to NETWORK SERVICE for the folder. Made sure IIS_USRS and IUSR had at least read access (I tried full access too!) . And went to my localhost to view. No images.
I have tried running the DNN site from the same location through the debug mode in visual studio and it works perfectly! But just not in IIS.
Any ideas on what would be causing this? I also tried creating a virtual directory within the default website, but had the same problem.
