Why Can't I Access My Site on the LAN? Using XP PRO w/ IIS 5.1

My site is setup. I can acess it locally. I can ping the machines, but I cannot access the site from other computers.

I have not changed anything, all of the defaults are set.

When I go to Directory Security the IP Address and Domain Name Restrictions is grayed out. (I assume that this is a result of whatever causes this problem).

I haven't used IIS in a few years and at that time it was on Server 2000 and I didn't have to customize anything.

     Thanks!

Are you on a domain or workgroup?

Can you access the site via IP address instead of computer name?

Can you ping the machine your site is on from another computer?

    Is your firewall on?

It could be a dns issue, a firewall issue or a combination of the two...or something else...

Duh... I found the problem. I had added port 80 to my firewall exceptions, but apparently didn't save it???

I doubled check and it wasn't in the list.

    Thanks for the responses.

Now I just need to figure out my bigger problem...
