  Need help(IIS 5.1 and ASP.NET 2.0) Reply Contact Hii all, I've developed one website by using visulastudio2005  and created a virtual folder  in IIS.(actually im using IIS 5.1 and platform is WindowsXP). when i opened the IIS and navigate to the virtual directory ..Rgtclk-->browse,its showing all the files in tht virtual directory in th reight pane but when i click on any of the webpage (Default.aspx)  its saying that "The website cannot display the page". This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying. after tht i highlighted the Default Website under Web Sites  and in the right pane i found postinfo.html,Rhtclick on it and selected Browse ..thn its also saying the same.  i searched  in the net ..ppl are telling tht its the problem with IIS.  I restarted the IIS .. but its of no use.   Can anybody help me in this regards.What and where  is the  problem and how to resolve it.. Im very new to IIS Thanks, BTR.

The server failed to load application '/LM/W3SVC'.  The error was 'The specified metadata was not found. im able to browse the html pages like http:\\localhost\dummy\testpage.htm but im unable to browse the .aspx pages. i tried this rght clk on websites-->properties-->Home Directory--->cliked on configuration button...but there is no response.. Could please tell where is the problem?   Plzzz Help me .
