    The resource you are looking for does not have a handler associated with it

     Hi Please help. I am getting this error whenever I browse to my websites on my local machine.

    eg i go to http://localhost/mywebsite and i get this.

    If I go to http://localhost/mywebsite/default.aspx then it works!

    I have ALL windows features for IIS7 checked on.

    I have checked the default document section and all looks good - default.aspx is listed at the top.

    This is for ALL websites that i get the error. Below is the ordered list of the mappings:

    Please help!

    Go to Handler Mapping for the website and check following for StaticFile Handler

    Ensure that Static File Module has

    * ( I see you have *.*)

    Enabled

    StaticFileModule,DefaultDocumentModule,DirectoryListingModule - Have these modules listed.

    HTH.

    Thanks Ganesh, that did it!

    I know I was playing around with URL rewriting and must have changed this by mistake.

    You might want to start a new thread and post more details about your issue/error.
