    phpMyAdmin setup Errors - cannot log in.

     I have no background in IIS, php, or mySQL. I've been muddling my way through with various tutorials to get Joomla installed on our 2003 server running IIS and php 5.2.6

     So far, php is working (as far as I can tell). I'm able to access the Joomla install tutorial/GUI, but when I attempt to login to phpMyAdmin, I get the following errors:

    #0  PMA_sendHeaderLocation(http://10.100.100.1/phpmyadmin/index.php?lang=en-utf-8&convcharset=utf-8&collation_connection=utf8_general_ci&token=ba6502382a3ba6bceb3191fc45800eb3) called at [C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\phpMyAdmin\libraries\auth\cookie.auth.lib.php:578]
    #1 PMA_auth_set_user() called at [C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\phpMyAdmin\libraries\common.inc.php:812]
    #2 require_once(C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\phpMyAdmin\libraries\common.inc.php) called at [C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\phpMyAdmin\index.php:34]

    Yes, I've tried doing the other fixes out there, including the related forum posted here. But, I confess I am uber-n00b about this, so any other information / a more detailed walk-through would be fantastic. I might just have failed to have a file in the right place too.
     Any help is greatly appreciated & humbly accepted!

    The problem seems that PHPAdmin is not able to recognize the user you enter. PHPMyAdmin requires setting up configurations files, a more detailed explaination is given at the link below:

     Also check out some of the guides at the official PHPMyAdmin Wiki;

    http://wiki.cihar.com/pma/Articles

     As Mossa said, you'll need to create a MySQL user and database to be able to use all the features or PHPMyAdmin.
