    Hi Vsood thanks for that.

    I am trying to see why i can't create a web playlist at the moment once thats sorted i can do some extensive testing.

    By the way going through this method streaming via web server does the streaming happen on port 80 ? if not what tcp port is used for this type of streaming?

    Hi Ras,

    I think we discovered the issue you're running into.  We serialize a <!DOCTYPE > element in our playlist file which includes a reference to the public .dtd that lives on the internet.  We're assuming that you're seeing the behavior you're describing because your computer is not connected to the internet and this .dtd check fails.

    There are two work-arounds you can try:

    1. Connect your computer to the internet.
    2. Manually create your playlist file (ie without UI).  You can use the sample Vishal posted previously in this thread or his walkthrough as a guide to help you:

    Hi there Bobby,

    I stop and started the IIS service, i can now stream wmv files (manually created without the UI).

    Thanks for that really appreciate your help on this. 

    I am unable to stream flv and mpg at this stage. mpg file locally plays fine on the server but not through the webserver.

    Hi Ras

    How are you trying to stream flv/mpg? What player are you using? What error do you get? Is this with playlist?

    Hi there Vishal, Thanks for your response on this ,

     I have got k-lite codec pack installed , which enables Windows media player to play flv and mpg and whole bunch of other media files. These flv and mpg files are playing fine on local computer.

     However when i add them to a web playlist. I am unable to stream it due to windows media player complaining about an unknown reason(it may or maynot be related to codecs). wmv files are streaming fine though.

    Any suggestions?
