    URLScan 3.0 not logging

    I have an issue with URLScan 3.0 (RTW)

    I have this set as my logging directory value

    LoggingDirectory=E:\logfiles\UrlScan

     Unfortunately, it does not write a log file. If i change it back to this

    LoggingDirectory=Logs it will write one.

    Any help as to why it is not logging to my other drive?

    Chris

    Did you check the security permissions at the E:\logfiles folder (if you have not created the UrlScan folder under it) or the E:\logfiles\UrlScan folder itself (if you did create it)?

    According to the UrlScan setup page:

    Make sure that IIS worker processes have write permissions to this folder. For IIS 6.0 make sure you give IIS_WPG write permissions to this folder and for IIS 7.0 make sure you give IIS_IUSRS write permission to this folder.

    It is usually one of 2 issues:

    1) Worker process identity does not have permission to write to the logs directory.

    2) You forgot to recycle worker processes after making changes to the logging setting.
