FTP to Network Share between Domain/Workgroup

I have a windows 2003 server on its own domain on my home network and I'd like to setup an FTP server on it.  The files I'd like to share are on a PC in a workgroup.  Here's what I've done:

    1. I've created a virtual directory named ftp.music
    2. Created a user account named ftp.music
    3. If i set the home directory to a local path, it works fine
    4. I map a drive from the server to the PC.  Use the maped drive (i.e. M:\Music) and then it does not work.  This is clearly a permissions issue.

    Anyone have any suggestions here?

Not necessarily permissions - mapped drives have no meaning in the context of a server application.

Re: FTP to Network Share between Domain/Workgroup

Well,  even if I use a UNC path, the account I'm using to log into the server is a local account on the FTP Server (which is a part of the domain).  The UNC path is on a computer in a workgroup.  I can't give the local account on the FTP server access to the directory on the workgroup computer...Is there any other way around this?

I've also tried setting it up in isolation mode and creating an NTFS Junction.  It was not allowing me to create a junction to a network share.

Yes - create a local account on the workgroup computer that has the same username and password.
