  HTTP 503 service unavailable error Reply Contact We are conducting load testing of ASP.NET application. we have integreted the application with IIS 6.0. Currently, when we scale up users beyond 500, we are facing http 503 errors in client machines.kindly guide us relavent to the settings needs to be done on IIS to scale upto 1000 users successfully. Please provide us clear clarity on IIS connection timeout settings,application pool kernel request and website connection settings. IIS Hardware configuration deployed are as follows: Windows 2003 enterprise server,Xeon Quad Core proc with 16 GB RAM Thanks in advance with regards, mahesh

  Re: HTTP 503 service unavailable error Reply Contact Hi Tom, Thanks for providing the link.We made relavent http.sys parameter settings and other necessary settings in our server. Still we are facing 503 error. Is there any specific setting for application pool queue,website connections with respect to number of users runnning on IIS. There is only one website hosted on server and no other services like exchange server is running on that server. your valuable suggestions/recommendations will be appreciated Mahesh.S

  Re: HTTP 503 service unavailable error Reply Contact I would investigate your unhandled exception error code.  It could be a 3rd party application, improper folder security or mis-configuration.  If possible, I would compare your QA or DEV environments (which I'm assuming are working) to your server that is giving you the 503 error. Could you please suggest us any other parameter settings to be done on server to improve scalability of the applications.   With Regards, Mahesh.S
