    Ask for password every time

    Hello everyone,

I have a FTP site setup on IIS 6, Server 2K3 SP2 and have all the access and everything setup properly. But my client wants it to ask for the password everytime he clicks the link and opens the browser.

As of now, if he accesses the site, say http://ftp.domain.com, clicks i accept the disclaimer, which pops up the FTP site in the morning, and inputs his passsword. then an hour or so later, he goes through the same process, and it gets him straight in.

But, he doesn't want this. He wants it so that every time he closes his browser and reopens it, it asks him for his password again. is this possible in IIS 6? Thanks in advance.

Try using a FTP client such as fileZilla, SmartFTP, CoreFTP instead of IE or browser as your FTP client.  This has nothing to do with IIS.

Yes - in fact that's exactly how it works.  If that's not happening, either other browser windows are still open or you have Windows Integrated authentication setup and IE is configured to trust that site.
