    Ran out of Disk

     Hi,

I have a website that takes much Hard Disk and I've just ran out of disk...

I know I can create virtual directories and share them to a network drive but isn't there a way to continue to use IIS like everything was on c:\?

I mean, doing something as if the several disks were in fact only one?

I don't understand what you mean so I will try and guess.

You can assign virtual directories to other drives on the same machine (virtual directories do not have to be network drivers) and then it will continue as normal.

If the entire website takes up more than one disk (if a site is that big you can surely get the budget for a new disk)  you will have to split it into different virtual directories on multiple disks.

    Hi,

Yes you can do this by using spanned volumes in Windows, but if I was in your position I'd consider either replacing the existing drive with a new one or at least adding an additional disk to your machine.

How to use the Disk Management Snap-in to manage Basic and Dynamic Disks in Windows Server 2003
