    FTP Issue

Hi I am having an issue with my FTP. I have tryed to uninstall and then reinstall the service already. When i install the service it does not start. When i try to start it it says that there is something with the metabase. However i have already reinstalled the FTP metabase. I am running this on Windows Server 2008 Web Edition.

     Thank You.

    couple questions

    1) What is the exact error?

    2) Are you installing the built-in FTP service that comes with web edition?

    Re: FTP Issue

Nothing has changed with the SMTP and FTP service built-in on IIS 7.  Do you have something else listening on port 21?

    netstat -an -p tcp | findstr ":21"

Also, please try running the services applet in a elevated state using the local Administrator account.  UAC could be interfering with the process.

Nope nothing else on port 21. I am also running this on the local admin account yes. I only have 1 account on the system. I was also thinking of installing ftp7 the one that you download from this site put at the end of the installation it said that it ended prematurely.
