    FTP Folder Permissions

I have a user who is having trouble copying information from one folder on an FTP site to another folder.  She is accessing the FTP site from a browser.  She has Full Control over the parent folder, and I double checked...she has full control over the two folders that she is trying to copy information from and to.  She can, however, download the files she is trying to copy to her own hard drive.  Then upload them back to the other folder.  Any ideas?

Note:  It actually lets you right click and copy.  Then when you try to go to another folder and right-click and paste, the paste option is grayed out.

I originally posted on the regular Windows General forum, but I was told that this is an IIS issue.

It's not really an IIS issue, it's just the way FTP works.  There's no concept of a Copy/Paste within FTP.  It's a transfer to or from, in FTP commands a PUT and a GET.  She's trying to use FTP as a Windows file manager, and that's not what FTP is.

That's right - it's not IIS at all.  While IE may give a nice Explorer interface into FTP, "Paste" is simply not supported on the client side.  What I find helpful is to open two FTP browsers so I can drag and drop my files.
