    FTP Configuration Problem

    Hi all~

I've configured my FTP 7.0 server on my machine, I use "User name directory" (don't isolate user) mode, and create a local account and a physical directory named with the same account name.

I tried to connect to my FTP via FTP.exe, this function is worked, but when I use WS-FTP tool to connect to FTP, it will auto-redirect to FTP root, and don't fix the user into his/her home directory.

I need configure my FTP to let any local user that can connect to his/her home directory only when he/she connect to my FTP's root directory.

How can I configure FTP (or related resource) to meet this requirement?
    Thanks.

If I understand your description right, you want to use "isolate users" to achieve this.

Look for Wrox's new book Professional IIS 7 in your local bookstore, or order now at Amazon.com

    Re: FTP Configuration Problem

    Thanks for your help.

But... I want to implement the function same as IIS 6.0:

"User name directory": This option specifies that all FTP sessions will start in the physical or virtual directory with the same name of the currently logged on user if the folder exists; otherwise, the FTP session will start in the root directory for the FTP site.

I tried using ftp command line tool, it worked, but it can't worked with FTP tools (WS-FTP).

This function need compatibility for customer's system...

    Do you have any idea?

    Thanks.
