External application for creating rules/parsing htaccess files

    Hello!

Is there chance for external application (or maybe webpage script) which can be used for creating rewrite rules and parsing htaccess files? This could be very helpfull for shared hosting providers.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi GrZeCh,

IIS does support shared configuration, you can see this:

However I'm not sure if there is tool to make IIS support shared htaccess file.

Shared hosting providers can enable support for IIS7 remote management and with that all their customers will be able to use "Import Rules" feature of URL rewrite module.
