    IIS on Vista SP1

Hi, I had a very simple web site with some asp and getting some simple datas from a mdb.

I installed IIS with the default option and just add the asp aplication. (ASP Classic).

It worked perfectly. Then I installed SP1 for vista. Only needed to reopen the port 80 on the firewall. It worked well for some hours and then it's stops. Can access any asp files from the browser anymore. I try to restart IIS and nothing. I have to restart Windows. Then is ok for some hours and then it stops again. Tried to stop the "World Wide Web Publishing Service" but doesn't respond. Have to restart Windows again.

After all this I decided to go back and uninstall SP1. All works again but can't access mdb files. Some Microsoft Jet database engine problems. I guess something of SP1 didn't uninstalled. The rest of the asp worked for hours and the not responding World Wide Web Publishing Service was fixed.

After trying everithing I couldn't get the mdb work so I decided to try SP1 again...
mdb worked! but after some hours the World Wide Web Publishing Service stop responding!

    Any idea please?

If not the only solution I see is reinstalling Windows :-(

    Re: IIS on Vista SP1

I was looking in Event Viewer - Windows Logs - System and found this Errors:

    Error 10016
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
    {0C0A3666-30C9-11D0-8F20-00805F2CD064}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

    Error 15016
Unable to initialize the security package Kerberos for server side authentication.  The data field contains the error number.

I've never used the Event Viewer before, is there another folder I must check?

    Thanks

10016 I am not sure .. but 15016 - that one's safe ... you can ignore that... it will come up only after you install SP1 on Vista... as far as your problem... go to inetpub folder and check the logs in w3svc1 if you have configured your site in the default website...

    Re: IIS on Vista SP1

Yep, already checked, just shows the last pages I accessed. No errors.

    Some files shows 304 0 0 1, others  shows 200 0 0 1 that's all...

The machine's up time is 3:20:00 and still no problems, who knows when it stops working.
