    Aspnet 1.1 on Windows 2008 : install

    Hello,

I just received a new Windows 2008 server x64 standard box for my company.

As we have several ASP.NET v1.1 websites. I followed step by step the tutorial to install asp.net 1.1 on IIS7 :http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/472/how-to-install-aspnet-11-with-iis7-on-vista-and-windows-2008/

But I have a major problem when trying to choose the framework 1.1 in the application pool settings because I don't have any v1.1 in the list. I only have v2.0 and no managed code!

What did I do wrong? Also what is weirder is that I have an application pool v1.1 created I suppose automaticaly by the installation of the 1.1 framework.

     Thanks for your help!

Make sure the ISAPI for .NET 1.1 is enabled.  ISAPI / CGI restrictions at the computer level.

Hello Steve, Yes I ISAPI for .NET 1.1 is enable in the ISAPI / CGI Restriction section of IIS 7.

Also I add an ISAPI Filter in the "ISAPI Filter" section of IIS 7 : C:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_filter.dll.

I checked the link but my install is a fresh install without any third part component! I am pretty desperate now!

    Hi,
There is no 64-bit version of .net v1.1. You could configure your application pool to run in Wow64 mode(x86) and then use ASP.NET v1.1.

    Thanks,

That's exactly what I did but I don't have any framework v1.1 to choose from the dropdown list when I configure a new app pool!
