IIS7, MSS 2008, FPE, and HTML forms in EW2

It is my hope to use the html forms tools in EW2. My server is running MSS 2008 and IIS7. It seems that IIS7 does not have the ability to enable FPE.

How should I deal with this? Thank you for very much for your insight.

FPSE for IIS7 is available as a download - see here - you may however be better off using webdav.

Re: IIS7, MSS 2008, FPE, and HTML forms in EW2

    Greets Anil,

We were not successful installing FPSE and moved on to WEBDAV after de-installing FPSE. I am able to publish with WEBDAV. However, during the publish site process EW2 informs me that because there are no FPSE or Sharepoint Services on the target server that the form will not work. When I 'ignore and continue' to go ahead and publish I can view the site in IE and find that yes indeed the form also object upon Submit because there is no FPSE:

    FrontPage Run-Time Component Page

You have submitted a form or followed a link to a page that requires a web server and the FrontPage Server Extensions to function properly.

This form or other FrontPage component will work correctly if you publish this web to a web server that has the FrontPage Server Extensions installed.

Click the <Back> arrow to return to the previous page.

So, any suggestions about where may I go from here will be much appreciated.

Perhaps we should remove WEBDAV and give FPSE another go? Should we install Sharepoint Services?

    Sincerely,

    TED
