Daily page views on a server

    Hi,

Obviously it depends on the application, but I'm curious to hear some page view numbers that people get on their servers?

If any of you have servers being hit hard, I'd like to know daily page view #'s along with server specs.

I'm curious, how many page views per day could a windows 2008/IIS7 server handle with an application like say a Forum....?

    Hello,

It depends on server specifications - CPU, Memory etc...

    Regards

Also page view in a day is meaningless too. A less meaningless metric is a concurrent connections which can be in the (tens of) thousands.

Most overused word in IT is 'should' as in 'That should work!?!'

A dual processor with 4 GB of ram could get several hundred thousand a day.  Of course it depends on your application, a separate database server, bandwidth connection.  Too many variables to provide you a more accurate picture.
