    PHP 5.2.5 and FastCGI

    Hey everyone,

Here are my spec on my server:  Windows Server 2003 32bit version, IIS 6.0, FastCGI, and PHP 5.2.5.  I have also tried PHP 5.2.6 but I didn't get any response from my page at all whenever I used it.

I just downloaded a photo gallery to run on my server and was wanting to play with it a little but whenever I go to it @ www.netaudiowf.com/gallery/ nothing happens like it is suppost to.  Also, whenever I go to www.netaudiowf.com/gallery/uploader/ , I'm suppost to be greeted with a login screen but I don't get anything.  This is what I get.

    FastCGI Error

The FastCGI Handler was unable to process the request.

    Error Details:

    • The FastCGI executable could not be found
    • Error Number: 2 (0x80070002).
    • Error Description: The system cannot find the file specified.

HTTP Error 500 - Server Error.
    Internet Information Services (IIS)

I got the photo gallery from http://www.e2interactive.com/e2_photo_gallery .  I haven't been able to get a solid answer out of him why this is happening.  Can someone please help me????

I'm not familar with fastcgi and w2k3, but the error is system can't find the file specified, which normally can be 2 things, 1) The file isn't there 2) The IUSR or Application Pool doesn't have permissions to the file.  I'd verify the folder security is setup so the appropriate accounts can gain access to your app.

Check your security event logs.  Run Filemon while executing your webpage, see if any folders / files are denied access.

    Okay,

So I'm a little confused now.  I guess the part I'm having problems with is the permissions.  How do I set them and what user do I need to add?  Is it as simple as browsing to the folder and viewing its properties???

    Thanks,

Have you double checked the path to php-cgi.exe in your FastCGI configuration?
