    IIS-Server ASAPI-Filters: ASP.NET-Filter "aspnet_filter.dll" is missing???

    hey guys.

I always get the Error "Service unavailable", because the Webservice can't be started.

I have found out, that on the running System in the IIS ASAPI-Filterlist there is a ASP.NET-Filter ("aspnet_filter.dll")

On the other System, where the failure occurs is the ASP.NET-Filter missing!!

I have installed all of the framework packages, how can I get the ASP.NET-filter running?

    nice greez Markus

Is the .NET framework installed on the system where it's missing?  If not, you can download and install it.  The script mappings will automatically get put there.  If it's installed, it appears like the script mappings run aspnet_regiis -i from the framework version you want installed.

Yes of course. I've installed the framework packages in the following sequence:

    1. Framework 2.0

    2. Framework 2.0 SP1

    3. Framework 1.1

    4 Framework 1.1 SP1

    5. Framework 3.5 incl. SP1

Does it play a role in which sequence I install the packages? On the Win XP Prof., where everything works fine, the .NET got installed one after the other, started at the v1.1.

As i can remember I have executed the command "aspnet_regiis -i" and also "aspnet_regiis -ga <username>". But it didn't work after that.

Now I have tried a several times to add the aspnet_filter.dll by hand in the filter list of the IIS and I have switched the Version of ASP.NET from 2.0... to 1.0... and backwards again in the ASP.NET tab in the properties of the standardwebsite. Suddelny the aspnet_filter.dll was loaded and the arrow became green.

I thought that would solve the problem with the webservice, but it didn't.

    I'm going to be mad!!

    thx although

    Markus
