Web Sites Node not available in IIS 7.0, only FTP Sites node shows

I'm using the 64-bit version of Windows Vista Business Edition, and used the "Programs and Features" wizard to add almost all of the IIS-related stuff, including ASP.NET (the only thing not checked was the IIS6 compatibility stuff).

I'm able to browse to http://localhost and see the IIS7 welcome page, but the only thing that shows up when I view the IIS management console is the node for FTP services. I've installed IIS a few times before on this same machine, and after wiping it clean (reformatting) and rebuiling the OS, I've always been able to get my web sites up and running on IIS without issues. I'm confused as to what I may have missed or done to allow this problem to occur.

I've included two images of what I'm seeing in both the management console and the "Programs and Features" dialog just in case I'm not describing my situation clearly enough.

Programs & Features Dialog showing what's selected & installed...

    Programs and Features dialog

View of IIS (I'm just noticing that it says 6.0 - is that the problem?)

View of IIS management console with no web sites, only FTP

Thanks in-advance for anyone helping me out with this.

    Thanks!
    Noel Briggs

Re: Web Sites Node not available in IIS 7.0, only FTP Sites node shows

Problem solved... I didn't realize it, but I was using IIS6 for some reason - not sure why I have both, but this is, believe it or not, the first time I've used IIS7. I've been doing something wrong for about 8 months now since using Vista as a regular desktop machine. It's no-wonder I didn't run into any v6/v7 compatibility issues: I was never using IIS7 like I thought I was. :)
