I am using Windows XP SP2 and installed IIS with Frontpage Server Extension 2002 installed on my pc. In defualt IIS Directory "C:\Inetpub\wwwroot" I created "Index.htm" file. So Now this in my one page website and I can access it on my lan computers by typing my ip address on Internet Explorer Address bar.
It is Very Simple.
I also use frontpage 2003 to publish "Index.htm" webpage with Hit counter (Frontpage web componant) as "Frontpage Server Extension Serive" option and give address to publish "http://localhost" now it publish the page. My hit counter also work.

now i used some difficult task to do. I put Host Header Name with IIS Configuration tool i.e. www.test.com. Now I can access my webpage in client with typing address "www.test.com" inplace of my ip address.
It is very very very simple.
Now I dont want to use "http:/localhost" in my PC. But the problem is begin to start. When I go to publish the page to "www.test.com" it ask my username and password. I give it my system username "administrator" with no password. It again show the same dialog box.
it is not so simple although its very very very difficult.
Please anyone help me to publish the webpage.
