HTTP 404 PHP installed with IIS7

Hi ... I am really new to IIS7 & PHP and having followed all the suggested install and congifuration tutorials, i still cant get it to work.

I am currently running Windows Server 2008 & IIS7.  I have PHP installed, set the Environmental Variable, have IIS7 fully installed and have set PHP as ISAPI.

Any suggestions as to why i am getting this error ... ?

    Many Many Thanks ...

Could you provide complete details on 404 error message?

Have you done Module Mapping in IIS for Php-cgi.exe?

Check the following resource for more information:

Re: HTTP 404 PHP installed with IIS7

     Hi Ganesh

Ok i reinstalled IIS7 & PHP to start again and this time i have configured PHP to FastCGI.  I set the Handler etc in IIS7 as the tutorial and now i get a 500.0 Error

    Detailed Error Information
    Module FastCgiModule
    Notification ExecuteRequestHandler
    Handler PHP-FastCGI
    Error Code 0xc0000005
    Requested URL http://localhost:80/test.php
    Physical Path C:\inetpub\wwwroot\test.php
    Logon Method Anonymous
    Logon User Anonymous
    Most likely causes:
    • IIS received the request; however, an internal error occurred during the processing of the request. The root cause of this error depends on which module handles the request and what was happening in the worker process when this error occurred.
    • IIS was not able to access the web.config file for the Web site or application. This can occur if the NTFS permissions are set incorrectly.
    • IIS was not able to process configuration for the Web site or application.
    • The authenticated user does not have permission to use this DLL.
    • The request is mapped to a managed handler but the .NET Extensibility Feature is not installed.

What do i do to correct this .. Its now bugging me and want to get it sorted to move on.

    Many thanks

This might be a permissions issue on php-cgi.exe folder.

You might want to Run Filemon/Procmon and repro the issue and check if there is "access denied" errors.

See this Post and try the step

Ok .. Never used Proces Monitor before, but i gave it a go and i managed to find the php-cgi.exe process and did not see an 'Access Denied' or anything else .....  So not certain just what it is that i am looking for

    Any other suggestions ??? :(

    Many Thanks

The error code 0xc0000005 indicates an access violation in the php fastcgi process - you will need to collect a crash dump for the problem and report the issue to php developers.
