  Ftp error 'the request is not supported' when starting ftp Reply Contact I'm trying to set up a new ftp site (using IIS 6 and IIS 7 under Vista Ultimate). After setting up the basic info using the ftp site creation wizard, when I get to the last step it fails. It just says 'the ftp site creation wizard did not complete successfully' with the following explanation 'The request is not supported.' What can I do to fix this, or even to find out why it won't complete?

  Re: Ftp error 'the request is not supported' when starting ftp Reply Contact If I'm correct, you can create multiple ftp sites, but you can only have one that is active or running. try stop the other ftp site, then see if you can start the newly created ftp site? Why don't you uninstall this old IIS 6 ftp and get the latest iis 7 ftp here. http://www.iis.net/downloads/default.aspx?tabid=34&g=6&i=1619 take note that offically it only supports on w2k8. but you can still run it on Vista :)   Cheers, Bernard Cheah
