    Vista transfers to remote IIS7 host

    Salutations,

      Opinions please. . .
    For sites created in VS2008 and Expression Studio;
    What are the best recommendations for transferring files local to remote from Vista?
    (With the capability to perform a site wide syncronization.)

    For the past 8 years I've created my code in VS and then sync'd with Dreamweaver. (gasp!)
    It simply sync'd much better local to remote than VS.

    This is a brand new web. .  .
    So if some of you will be so kind, what are your recommendations?
      All the best,
        Mark

    It depends on what the remote host supports.  If they support FTP over SSL, this would be a secure option.  Have you tried the publishing wizard with VS 2008?

    Thanks...

    The transfers will all be to my Windows Server 2008 accounts at discountasp.net
    (Standard HTTP, 3.5 Framework, ASP.NET, Linq, SQL Server 2005 and Silverlight)

    Yes I've been testing the publishing tools in VS2008, have even talked with some of the Msft devs regarding future synchronization possibilities.

    I'm probably not the only developer that would like to see one click sync'ing for remote sites.
