Windows 2003 server is running Exchange 2003 with secure web mail

My Windows 2003 server is running Exchnage 2003, the Exchange web mail has been configure with secure site as https://mail.mydomain.com/exchange.  I would like to move my website from my provider to this server, how do I configure the server so the web site is not secure and is accessed as http://mydomain.com.  By the way, I'm using FrontPage to publish the web site.  I have published using https but unable to publish it as http.  Thanks.

Re: Windows 2003 server is running Exchange 2003 with secure web mail

The DNS is setup properly, when I do http://mydomain.com I get a reply that I need to type https:... since Exchange web mail is setup as a secure.  I can access the web page only with the https://mydomain.com but I need to access the web page as non-secure. I hope my answer makes sense....

Look inside Exchange System Manager under the protocols (http) and verify if you have 'require' SSL.   You can also look in IIS Manager under the SSL settings /exchange vdir.  Try unchecking 'require ssl'.

Exchange is configured as SSL for the web mail.  I would like to add the company web page as a non-secure site so is not prompt for https when accessing it. Thanks.

If your company website in the root folder, verify the homepage doesn't have SSL required.  I would even recommend creating a 2nd website and using a host-header.

Ya. just force require SSL at the /exchange path and let others access via http://
