    IIS7 & Trend Micro Officescan 8

    Hi,

I have instaleld IIS7 on my new Windows Server 2008 server. (Selected all options in the add features)
    Works as expected.

I decided to test Trend Micro Officescan 8 on it by running it's installer.
    The installer completed succesfully.
How ever when I try to open the Trend Micro Officescan 8 webconsole it doesn't start but prompts me to download a file called cgiChkMasterPwd.exe
This executable isn't offered for download on my Windows Server 2003 / IIS6 machine.

Is there an option in IIS7 to run it in IIS6 compatible mode (such as the IIS5 isolation mode in IIS6?) or do I have to wait for Trend Micro to make the Officescan Server version compatible with IIS7?

Wouldn't that be a great question to ask Trend Micro?

    Nope.
I ended up installing the Apache webserver (on a different port) to let it work on W2k8.

Hey. Had this problem myself. Just turns out had to install the CGI feature. You can do this by going to the server manager, expanding Rolls, right clicking on IIS and clicking the add feature option. CGI should be listed under 'Application Development'. You may also want to go to the root IIS7 (server) node and click ISAPI Permissions and make sure that any cgi files have execute permissions. -Keith
