    Weird error

ever since I restarted my domain controller/File server for the webserver, no one can login via FTP, the error is: No mapping between account names  and Security ID's has was done.

now I tried restarting both servers, as well as even removing and re-joining the DC domain, and still the error persists.

I really need some help here, this is completely baaaad. :(

    Re: Weird error

I found an issue that may be the cause of my problem. I had a "trust" made....just experimenting with things, and when I "removed" it as a part of my trial and error, the error when trying to log in via ftp was:  The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.

when I re-add it, the error becomes the original error again.

note: for the hosting accounts on the DC/file server, the accounts are domain accounts on the DC/file server, and those accounts are given full permissions, and the web server is given read permissions on the user's folder.

    Re: Weird error

    Well

trial + error paid off. as usual for me, as I have very little patients to wait for forum replies lol.

Soo. in the Permissions on the remote file server...more specifically, the folder in question, the Web server needs full permission to the sites, as it is the one carrying out the actions through FTP service, over the network.
