  File extension mde under IIS6 download problem Reply Contact I have an IIS6 install and under that have a web site that has a page with a link to download a file with an extension of MDE.  When I click the link that would normally do the file download if it was running under IIS5, instead of the file download dialog box I get an error page in the browser saying the page can't be found and has an error 404 on it. Is there some special configuration that needs to be done under IIS6 to permit MDE files to be downloaded?    Ira Richard Smith

  Re: File extension mde under IIS6 download problem Reply Contact Thanks for the quick reply.  I had been looking further into this and instead of making the change at the IIS level I did it at the web site level.  I found some additional information on the Help file of IIS6 that showed how to do it either way and I opted for the 'less-impact' way isolating my changes to just the one web site that needed it.
