Is there an equivalent Solution to "OSCommerce" or "XTCommerce" which are the known and widespread Products in the OpenSource-World ??   Thanks Sasch

They are both open source and based on oscommerce. Should you need to switch fm one solution to the other you can try web service cart2cart - it automates migration fm shopping cart to shopping cart. Customization with Zen Cart wasn't just terrible, but it was very time consuming and I hated trying to mess with it. My suggested VPS and Reseller Hosting provider is ResellerChoice.
